Spring recitals this year are going to leave friends and families rolling in the aisles. Why? Because piano students everywhere will be performing hits from PianoBookClub’s first book of the month, How To Give Your Audience The Giggles.
Your piano recital just might be the most important day of your teaching year. If your piano students leave the audience “wowed”, people will rave about you and your studio endlessly and you’ll never have to worry about filling your teaching schedule again!
How To Give Your Audience The Giggles was written to WOW your audiences. But it was also, and most importantly, written to WOW your piano students!

I have a 13-year-old student who has lost all enthusiasm for piano. This has been going on for quite some time. She’s skipped lessons, “forgotten” her music, and pulled all the familiar stunts. Last night I played “Stuck on Repeat” for her. Her eyes lit up, and she exclaimed, “Oh, I LOVE that song.”
Keep the music coming, ya’ll.

Hi Robbin – this is so wonderful to hear! Thanks so much 🙂

I’m a subscriber to your monthly book club and have downloaded the 1st book to my laptop. My question: Is there any way that I can have access to it on my iPad, also?
Andrea says
Hi Teresa
Absolutely – the piano books come as a pdf, so you just need a pdf reader on your iPad and then you can open the file as you would on your laptop. To view any pdf on an ipad you’ll need to download a pdf viewer from the app store. Once this is installed you shouldn’t have any issues. Two apps you might want to consider are GoodReader (0.99) and iAnnotate PDF (9.99). Enjoy!

Invited five students to be involved in some “scherzi” at the beginning of our upcoming piano party (read Recital). We always do something silly or fun as a kick-off and these fit right into the tradition. (and solve my need to come up with something for this year! 🙂 When I showed each of the students what I proposed for their role, and played them the pieces, I thought they were going to vibrate right off the bench. They were all absolutely embracing the ideas. Huge smiles, bright eyes. Wahoooo!

Hi Kristi
Fantastic! Your recitals sound like a hoot 🙂 I’m so glad your kids are excited about the music – vibrating off the bench is a really good thing! We had so much fun creating it. Would love to see videos of your kids performing!

I showed one of my fun loving teens the schooch song the other day and she fell in love. We have decided it will be the finale at the spring recital. We were both in giggles by the end of running through the physical movements. Thanks!
Andrea says
Hi Jennifer – so glad to hear it! I enlisted my piano-playing sister to be my “number 2” when I was composing this piece and we too were in fits of giggles – we still play it just for fun. I think it will be a party trick for the two of us LOL. This is actually how I came up with the name.. I was always saying “Scooch over Laura!” I hope you have a ton of fun preparing it for your recital! Would love to see a video!!

I just joined this club. Can you send me a copy of How to Give .your Audience the Giggles ASAP. My recital is in three weeks, and maybe I can still get a song from this book in. Thanks.

Oh my goodness. I downloaded and printed the sample pack of this book!! Now I need the whole thing!! Each month of piano book club is SO amazing….but there are two that I have missed that I am extremely jealous for: this one AND The Silver Screen Playbook! Each month I check the members archives to see if one of them will be the featured book!
