The holiday season is supposed to be a time of peace and relaxation. For piano teachers, however, it is a time for recital preparations and holiday lesson planning.
Yes, the holiday season is a mad dash to Christmas break. We throw relaxation out of the window and sprint through December, knowing that, on a glorious Friday, our last student will walk out of the studio and we can finally breathe a sigh of relief.
That distant break is a wonderful thought but it does nothing to help us with the musical chaos of December.
If planning a recital isn’t enough, piano teachers are also expected to help their students progress through their method books while also throwing memorable holiday-themed lessons that your students will one day look back on with fondness.
While Trevor and I can’t physically be there to help you with your holiday recitals, we can provide fun, Christmas-themed activities that will take the pressure off your December lesson planning.
Below we have collected many of our Christmas and holiday resources we’ve shared over the years and put them in one convenient location. To find this page again, simply go the Teach Piano Today blog, and click on the pink dropdown menu.
