Does your piano teaching studio have a slogan?
I love a good slogan. I love the power of a good slogan. I never, ever begin the creation of a piano resource or product without first knowing the name and slogan of the product. Because as much as a slogan influences my customers, it also influences the development of my products.
My slogans become my advisors, and if I ever stray from my slogans (my brand messages) I start to feel guilty. Take TeachPianoToday.com for instance… the slogan, “Piano Resources with Personality”. When piano teachers visit our site I want them to know that they are going to find resources that are a little different… a little more exciting than the status quo. We want to raise piano teachers’ eyebrows… in a good way.
Every blog post, review, referral, or product on this site will adhere to that principle, and if it doesn’t, rest assured I will feel guilty and lose sleep.
So back to the original question… “Does your piano teaching studio have a slogan?” If not, give slogan creation a try. Can you come up with 4-7 words for your piano teaching studio to live by? Once you’ve got it, base everything you do on that slogan and I think you’ll find your studio more focused and more successful.
Does your studio have a slogan already? If so, share it with us in the comments… like I said, “I love slogans!”

I’ve Got My Slogan, Now What?
Once you’ve discovered the words your piano studio is going to live by, you need to implement your new found philosophy into every aspect of your music business. Once we did this at our private piano studio, our business took off.

Loving the posts! I also have a slogan for my studio, plus a logo (which I love and think it is a smart business move for any piano instructor). My slogan- “where music and imagination meet!” 🙂

Hi April. We love your slogan! It’s the perfect blend of being “to the point” but also creates a positive and fun immediate impression of your studio. Would love to see your logo sometime!

This was a great post to read. Every piano teacher should read it!
My slogan: “Music. Experience it. Make it. Live it”. Which is exactly what I try to do every day at the studio. You can also see my logo on the website. Little by little I have been adding it to business cards, paper work that goes home and the sign at the front. I hope it makes my studio standout from the rest.
Keep up the great posts!

Thanks Dorla! Must say I love your slogan, and how your website, logo, and content communicate that slogan. I’m also intrigued by the curriculum you are developing for homeschoolers… what a great idea!

This post was a great reminder for me. Our school’s slogan is “Where Music Comes to Play”. Sometimes I can get a little down with all the competition out there, thinking “what makes our school unique?” “what are we trying to accomplish with our students?”. Reminding myself that our school’s goal is to help our students find enjoyment with what they are doing above all else is a nice little reminder.
I’m lovin’ all the posts Trevor!

A slogan I used years ago in the beginning of my teaching career.
“Don’t Just Say It, Play It.”

I have not yet incorporated a slogan for my studio but I think I should. I’ve been playing around with a few but the one that keeps coming to the forefront is “What’s your song?”
The foundation of my studio and educational philosophy is that each person’s musical experience is different, and I strive to take my student where THEY want to go with their music, not just where I think they should go.
So… “what’s your song?” or maybe “Find your song.”

Like it Carole!

I found this post most helpful today. I”m getting ready to launch my new music studio business in the next few weeks and the motto I’ve chosen is “Inspiring an Enjoyment of Music.”
