What would you say if we told you that we have music that will allow your students to play duets with a partner that is always ready, always available, and always perfect?
What would you say if we also told you that we have music that will work wonders in developing your students’ rhythmic consistency?
Would you say, “Impossible!”?
Would you say, “No way!?”
Or would you say, “This sounds amazing… tell me more!”? (Okay, we’re going to assume this would be your natural response…) So, today we wanted to share March’s Piano Book of the Month. Not only do I have a funky little video trailer featuring a piece from the book, but below the video you can also preview some of the music!
THE BEATBOX MANIFESTO: Pumpin’ Duets For Me and My Metronome
The BeatBox Manifesto gives you the multi-level supplementary repertoire you need to make metronome use exciting and fun. That’s right, we said it… FUN!
If you’ve never been a fan of metronomes (Hey, trust us, we get it!) prepare to do a huge one-eighty. And if you’re already a fan, prepare to become a Superfan!
Each piece in The BeatBox Manifesto is composed as a true duet between piano and metronome. Metronomes will no longer be left ignored, ticking away on the lid of the piano. Instead, they will act as an equal partner in each piece, changing from foe to friend as they provide the percussion to these motivating and fun pieces.

Just in case there might be someone out there who is wondering if the PianoBookClub is a good investment…..IT IS! I can’t speak high enough about the music that I get every month. I’m like a little kid waiting by an old-fashioned mail box. I have so much fun playing through the music. Oh, and by the way, the kids like it too!

Perfect timing! (Don’t mind the pun!) We’ll be getting ready for recital after spring break. Looking forward to the new songs. Keep up the amazing work!

I love this!! My students often groan and whine when I turn on my metronome. This should turn that around! I look forward to using it with one student in particular!

I have a “new” twist for this book! Just to make things interesting, I used a metronome app with the last song in the book. It let me hear subdivided beats AND use a different sound for beat 1. Totally changed up how the song sounded and the student was impressed with the unique sound, especially on the metronome “solo” measures… Most “retro” metronomes don’t subdivide like this, but with the great app options, I bet you can find a setting to make each song unique!!!

I joined the piano club after this was released. How can I get a copy of this piece. I play with a worship band every week and have a click track in my in-ear monitor that I have grown to love. I used to hate to play with the metronome because it never stayed with me. Go figure!!

I am already a member of your book club. You are offering the beatbox manifesto to people who sign up. I have a student that not only needs this, he would thrive on this. How can I get a copy of this book that was before I signed up?
Andrea says
Hi Rochelle – yes The Beatbox Manifesto will be a future re-release for sure! As a continuing member you have access to past books each month. Check the bottom of your email that delivers your new book for the password that gives you access to the member’s page of pianobookclub.com.
