If you’re like me, every summer you probably have grand plans to prep way in advance for another year of piano teaching. And then every summer your grand plans get interrupted by much cooler plans… that don’t involve prep in any way whatsoever 🙂
Sometimes this means that we face a serious planning crunch in the days leading up to the start of lessons…
But if you are a PianoGameClub’er you don’t have to feel bad about setting aside those “grand plans” because the games we send out each and every month mean that a big chunk of your planning is already done! Our games provide an engaging way to teach theory, include ear training and solidify important concepts that your students will come across every single lesson of the year.
What does this mean? No more “night-before-lessons” panic!
If you’re not already a member of Teach Piano Today’s PianoGameClub, and if the thought of receiving fun and hilarious games to teach concepts like harmonic interval recognition, major and minor chords, quarter note / half note patterns and time signatures sounds good then visit PianoGameClub here to sign up today.

I love your games and my students do to! We have game week on the last week of the month. Everyone looks forward to playing a new theory game and learning all at the same time!
Thanks!
Andrea says
So happy to hear it Johanna! The idea of game week is a lot of fun – and looking forward to learning theory is just awesome 🙂
Brenda says
This is my first year teaching. I am very excited about this new phase in my life. What type book do I get to keep a log of students & times? I am teaching age 6 – 12 yrs. Appreciate any suggestions or comments you may have.
Andrea says
Hi Brenda – you might want to use a spreadsheet program – this way you can have all of their info in one place (times, book level, address, phone number, email etc. etc.). If you use something like Google Docs then you can access it on your phone etc. no matter where you are.
Charlotte says
Love the idea of Google Docs, but have never ventured there. Is it similar to working in Excel? Do you have suggestions? Separate page for each student, etc?
Mary Anne says
Excellent as always! And somehow just when i need a resource, you two come up with one. I was in need of new piano games.
Andrea says
Hi Mary Anne – wonderful! Hope you enjoy them 🙂 Always nice to infuse some fresh materials into your teaching!
María Laura says
These games are awesome! It’s incredible how they incorporate these theory concepts learnt through the games, and they don’t forget them, as they used to when I taught theory in the traditional way… plus we all have fun! 🙂
Andrea says
Thank you Maria – we’re so happy that you love the games and that you are experiencing the same “game-based learning magic” that we know is so powerful! 🙂
Deb says
Your games are a great incentive to come to lessons well-prepared and practice up! When we can “scoot” through the assignment, we have time for a game, which is always met with a woohoo!
Sandy says
Yes, I use the games like this too. And they leave feeling accomplished and happy.
Andrea says
Very cool Deb! Great idea to use them as an incentive. And so happy to hear they are met with a “Wahoo!” 🙂
Elizabeth says
Hi Andrea, for some reason none of these games were visible. I just get a grey screen, with the fwd and bkwd arrows but not the content. I have refreshed a couple of times but to no avail.
Anybody else have this problem?
Andrea says
Hi Elizabeth – you must have some sort of pop-up blocker on. Google “disable pop-up blocker” and try that. We know no one else had an issue so it must be that 🙂
Zoé Iglesias says
I’ve a technical question. These games are for July or August? If I subscribe next week, i. e. August, will I still be on time to get these ones? Thanks in advance!
Andrea says
Hi Zoe – these games are for July and are only available until the 30th. If you subscribe in August you will receive August games instead 🙂
Zoé Iglesias says
So gotta hurry to subscribe! Thanks!
