The last time I was at a zoo, there was a really cool exhibit where you could pop your head up into a clear plastic “bubble” to find yourself right in the middle of a meerkat cage. Talk about being “in the action”…
As I was watching meerkats run around mere inches from my face, I thought to myself, “Wouldn’t it be cool if people could do this in a piano studio?”…
For the most part, a piano teacher’s job happens behind a closed door… with an audience that may or may not remember to tell their parents how much fun they have had! Aside from recitals, people rarely get to see teachers shine.
But that’s about to change!
While “zoo bubbles” are likely a long way from being installed in piano studios, there is one way that thousands of piano teachers are already giving the public a glimpse into their studios… with our printable Piano Studio Photo Props!
Today we’re giving you a holiday-themed set so you can continue to share all of the “Wow!” that happens in your studio… but with a wintery-twist to keep things fresh!
Holiday-Themed Piano Studio Photo Props
Every day we see our photo props pop up on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. They’re eye-catching, they’re professional, they’re lively, they’re adorable, and they shout to the masses… “Hey! Look at how much fun my piano lessons are!”
Today’s holiday-themed set achieves the same results, but with a seasonal flair that is sure to make your studio’s social media pages pop this winter.
Download the photo props here, print them out, and then have your student proudly hold a photo prop as you snap a picture. This file includes the black props you see pictured as well as a set on a white background for home printing. *Ensure you have written consent from parents whenever taking photos of your piano students.
Looking For More Photo Props?
If you haven’t used our photo props before you can download our first set here and our second set here. And if you don’t use social media, these photo props also make great gifts for parents (simply snap a photo and print it out) or can be sent in an email along with a happy message.)
Be sure to tag us @teachpianotoday across all platforms when you use these! We absolutely love to see them in action 🙂

Love it! I am definitely going to use the “Ready for my Holiday Recital.” Fun way to encourage them and give an extra memento for the parents. Thanks!

You’re so welcome Melissa! Thanks for reading 🙂

These look wonderful. Do you have a version that won’t use so much printer ink? They really pop, but that gets expensive.
Andrea says
Hi Karen -I recommend sending them in for printing to Staples (or similar). Its 39 cents a page and then you have a great set that you can use year after year that are really eye-catching for about $4. The black really does make a big difference. However, if that’s not an option for you then I’ve uploaded a white background version. The file now has 16 pages (8 black and 8 white) choose what works best for you 🙂

My printer thanks you and so do I :-).

Thank you!

I can’t wait to use these at our Christmas Recital along with a few other photo props I found (Santa beard, etc)!!! I get Staples to print them for me and then use Dollarama frames! They are awesome!
Andrea says
Hi Michelle – glad you’re getting great use out of them 🙂 Tag us in your photos @teachpianotoday – we love to see them!

Those are wonderful props! Thank you for sharing. Definitely gonna use them for December.
Andrea says
Glad to hear it Valentyna! Tag us in the photos @teachpianotoday – we love to see them! 🙂

I agree with Karen above. These are adorable, but it would be so helpful if there was a version without the black background. Just that much difference would help with printing. Not all of us have access to a close Staples.
I am certainly not complaining. I like anything that’s free and useful!

I’m saving to my iPad. When I take a picture, the student can hold the scren. No ink and easily accessible at the music store I teach at. I’ll let you know if it works!
Andrea says
Hi Elizabeth – Yes! As Beth says, we’ve seen them displayed on an iPad too and they look great! 🙂 We chose these colors as they are the most effective in a photo and look like an actual prop instead of a printed piece of paper. However, I got up early this morning and added white background versions to the download – so there are 16 pages, 8 black and 8 white 🙂
Beth says
I would love one that says- “I’m Ready for my Christmas Recital!”

My students have totally loved having their pictures made with the “practiced lots…I’m on the nice list!” one this week! It’s been a great way to communicate with the parents too by sending the pic to them. Thank you for making us look great as a teacher.
Andrea says
Hi Leigh! So happy to hear it 🙂 Thrilled that it’s working well in your studio for you!

I have a great tip for printing economically. I was spending so much time and money at Staples, that I decided to invest in a printer from HP Instant Ink. I get 50 pages of printing of full colour for just a few bucks a month and they ship ink to me when my printer is getting low for FREE!!! It has saved me hours of travel time and at least $200 in just a few months. All those games I’ve wanted to print are now in my filing cabinets! I still use my old printer for black and white printing to make those 50 pages last. Check them out!
