Once a month, Andrea and I take a quick break from our regular blog posts to share the latest games from our monthly resource PianoGameClub. If you’re looking to pump up the fun in your lessons, then check out our game previews at the end of this post.
As piano players, we’ve all had them… mental blocks… a technical concept or rhythmic challenge that trips us up again and again.
As adults we understand mental blocks. So while they may be frustrating, we know that a little stick-with-it-ness will help us overcome our challenge.
But our young piano students don’t have that kind of mental maturity… so they need different tools… like the 4 we’re previewing in today’s post.
4 Tools To “Un-Stick” Your Stuck Piano Students
When young piano students get stuck on a concept at the piano, it can feel like the end of the world. Sitting at the piano and attempting to power through a mental block can crush a piano student’s motivation.
Which is why it’s a great idea to get off of the piano bench and play a game when a mental block strikes.
And with this month’s games from PianoGameClub, you can get your hands on four more tools for helping piano students get past any roadblocks they may encounter with bass clef note reading, dotted quarter note rhythms, time signatures, and aural recognition of major and minor melodies.
