Last year we released a PianoBookClub book called, The Amadeus Anthems: A Classical Pop Crossover… and it quickly became our most popular teen music publication of all time. To this day, over a year later, we still have the pleasure of reading happy emails from piano teachers who used it to save their teen students.
Because of the response to The Amadeus Anthems, we knew it wouldn’t be long before teens were desperate for more pop crossover piano pieces! So, on the 1st of this month we released a follow-up to The Amadeus Anthems called The Beethoven Sessions… and for the past 12 days our inbox has been flooded with excited messages like these:
“I had a High School Junior going all Fan-Girl over them yesterday. She actually squealed! She picked out the [The Moonlight Sessions], and told me that she had been waiting for this all of her life. Then she told me she was probably going overboard, and I assured her that I felt the same way. She made me promise she would play each and every one.”
If you teach teen students, then you’ll know that this type of enthusiasm can be hard to come by! But you’re about to experience the magic that “just the right piece” can make to your teens…
The Beethoven Sessions – A Classical Pop Crossover
The Beethoven Sessions – A Classical Pop Crossover features seven pop piano pieces inspired by the music of Beethoven. It’s a unique blend of the pop sounds your teen students love and the classical melodies you wish they would recognize. The Moonlight Sonata, Symphony No. 9, Sonatina in G Major, Für Elise… it’s all here with a modern twist that will have your teens glued to the piano bench.
“Oh my laws, I’m loving the new Beethoven Sessions (forget the students- I LOVE️ playing them!)”
The best part? Teachers are writing to say that these books have inspired their students to seek out and listen to the original scores. It’s a fabulous way to bridge the gap between pop and classical in a way that makes teachers AND students excited.
“This is awesome!! I LOVE it! I sat down and played through them all! Absolutely giddy!! I can’t wait to show them to my teens!!”
How To Get The Beethoven Sessions
If you click on the image below you’ll be able to preview two of the seven pieces from The Beethoven Sessions… and then if you scroll a little further down we have a couple more recordings you can listen to as well!

You are a composing genius! I love to teach these pieces because they are so beautiful–music candy! My students think it’s cool when they recognize bits of the original famous melody and are enthusiastic because these pieces are so gorgeous, fun to play and sound advanced. Thank you for continually motivating my students!
Andrea says
Thanks so much for your kind words, Rhonda 🙂 I’m so glad that these pieces are motivating your students and that you’re enjoying them!
Dr Saylor says
I have a student who’s going through the Amadeus Anthems and has been working on the “big boy” versions of some of the songs. Can’t wait to have this for myself. Er, I mean my students! Always excited to see what each month brings

So happy to hear it! 🙂

Another winner from the Dow team! Brilliant compositions that appeal to the teens and are so fun to play and to listen to. My kids feel so accomplished when they play these!!

Hi Heidi – so glad to hear that your students are enjoying our music so much!
Cherri says
Can I just get some of your music without having to join your club?. I am not a fan of paying monthly payments and would rather purchase individual pieces.
Andrea says
Hi Cherri – thanks for your interest in The Beethoven Sessions! Currently our music is only available through the membership as it’s how we are able to offer it at such a significant discount to industry standard for studio-licensed music. Our membership is flexible – you can cancel whenever you like… but we hope to “wow” you with our approach to supplementary repertoire 🙂
Anne says
Can I just purchase the Beethoven’s Sessions?

I’m going to sign up for the book club, is there any way to get the Amadeus Anthems as well?
Andrea says
Hi Amy! Welcome to PianoBookClub! Glad to have you 🙂 Continuing members do get the chance to purchase re-released books. Starting in your 2nd month of membership you begin receiving a password for the “members” page. It’s here that you can view the re-release and choose to “add it on” for $8. This is how you can catch up on books you missed (like The Amadeus Anthems) before you began your membership.

Hi, I just signed up for the piano book club and got the Beethoven Sessions! I’m so excited! Is there still a way to purchase the Amadeus Anthems as well? Thanks!

So… I know you do a rerelease option each month… do we get any heads-up about when Amadeus is coming as a rerelease? I joined after that one came out but NEED it in my life. And, you know, in the lives of my students too… 😉
Andrea says
Hi Tara – the re-release pops up on the 7th of the month so you can check in then to see if it’s a book you want to purchase 🙂
Amy says
Loved Amadeus Anthems! Thoroughly enjoyed playing through the Beethoven sessions the other night! Can’t wait to get my teens hooked on them!
Andrea says
So glad to hear it, Amy! 🙂

Heidi Pankratz says
Hi – can you please email me? Wondering if these songs will be available for purchase other then having a monthly subscription aka as a book at a music store or online etc? Looking for a hard copy without the monthly commitment. Thanks in advance for your response.
Andrea says
Hi Heidi! All of our books are digital as it means you have unlimited printing/photocopying rights (something not possible with a hardcopy book). Currently, all of our music is only available through the membership. Our membership is flexible – you can cancel at anytime – but we hope to “wow” you with our approach to supplementary repertoire. We promise it’s like nothing you’ll find on a music store shelf 🙂
Daiana Quintero says
Andrea, how can I get both the Mozart and Beethoven books? I have looked to subscribe, but I can’t find where. Please let me know.
Andrea says
Hi Daiana – if you click on any of the links in this post it will take you to PianoBookClub.com where you can sign up. Once you sign up you’ll receive The Beethoven Sessions immediately in your inbox. The Amadeus Anthems isn’t available right now, but if you become a continuing member of PianoBookClub you’ll gain access to re-released books that you can purchase as an optional add-on each month 🙂
Chandra says
Hi!
I haven’t seen this cone across my inbox yet… can you check!?
Chandra
Andrea says
Hi Chandra – it was delivered to you October 5th. Do a search in your inbox and email me if you can’t find it 🙂
Mary says
Love the Beethoven Sessions! I have enjoyed all the monthly books from The Book Club. I get so excited the first of the month to see what the book will be for the month. Most of the supplemental pieces I use are from the monthly selections! Once you get your first book, I think one will find it very hard to cancel your membership.
Beth Bailey says
Do you have a recording of them all? It helps my kids if they can hear what it will sound like. (I know I could play them for them, but I can’t always sit down and work through it to get it perfect when they need it.)
Andrea says
Hi Beth – many of them are on SoundCloud – http://www.soundcloud.com/pianobookclub – just scroll down until you see the Chopin images. We have 4 of the 7 recorded and available 🙂
