Piano studios around the world are gearing up for Halloween. Every morning I spend a few minutes cruising Facebook, Pinterest, and Instagram; enjoying our readers’ pictures of decorated pianos, treats, themed piano games and costumed teachers. It’s all very festive.
And, of course, with this festive atmosphere comes the need for music! But there’s one pesky problem with a lot of Halloween music… it’s usually too difficult for our young students who may have just started piano lessons in September!
So, today we’re solving this problem with Halloween sheet music designed to meet the needs of your very young beginners; enabling them to take part in the Halloween music fun… even if they’ve only been in lessons for a short time!
Primer And Preschool Halloween Sheet Music
If you have preschool and primer level piano students, you are going to have a hoot in the days leading up to Halloween playing our preschool and primer Halloween sheet music with your students.!
The three primer-level pieces are set in Middle C Position, enabling you to use them with young students who are in the early stages of note reading. Each piece uses a specific set of notes with simple rhythms, cute lyrics, and a simple teacher duet. You’ll be able to pull these out and have your kiddos playing some festive tunes easily in the few short weeks before Halloween! See the list below to find the perfect pairing for your young beginner.
The preschool duets are designed to be used with students in our WunderKeys Piano for Preschoolers books. In the WunderKeys Preschool books, 3-5-year-olds participate teacher/student duets using the Wunderbies as notation (characters that replace finger numbers). The first duet we’re sharing today is designed for students in Book 1, the second duet is designed for students in Book 2, and the final solo piece is designed for students in Book 3!
