With the end of lessons in sight, you are probably looking forward to that moment when you can close your studio doors for the summer and take a well-deserved break. With that said, you’re probably NOT looking forward to the moment when you reopen those same studio doors and welcome some students who haven’t touched the keys for weeks.
But what if there was something (easy!) you could do this summer to keep piano students practicing and progressing even when they are not in lessons? Enter Summer Practice Packs!
With a few hours spent happily pressing “print”, you can create a summer package of fun materials that will keep your students motivated to hit the bench (not just the beach) over the next month or two. And something you will definitely want to include in those packs are the scale printables we’re sharing today. With 12 in total, your students can make it their mission to focus on one a week this summer.
12 Scale Printables For Summertime Mastery
Consider this… the summer months are a time when other extracurriculars no longer vie for your students attention, when homework has disappeared, when families are not rushing from one activity to the next, when days are longer and when the pace of life is perfectly suited to some happy time spent on the piano bench.
One goal your students can look forward to accomplishing this summer is mastering their scales – and with today’s free printable, your students be excited to add this to their summer practice routines.
Our Visual Scale Packs make scale practice fun and easy. With handy keyboard pictures and motivating challenges your students will happily learn to memorize their scales, play their scales in contrary motion, and play their scales hands together.
Today we’re adding a pack of three Harmonic Minor Scale printablesย (A, E and B minor) to the nine Major Scale printables we’ve shared in the past.ย You can find today’s NEW Harmonic Minor Scale Pack by clicking on the image below.ย Then, you can check out the rest of our scale packs here (click on the “technical exercises” tab)… on Teach Piano Today’s WunderKeys website.

Just wanted to say thank you. I wish I could offer you back some free printable materials or at least help vacuum and dust your studio or something. Bake you a meat loaf? ๐ Anyway, thanks so much for inspiring ideas and making piano exciting for the students and the teachers.
