Next week, WunderKeys Elementary Piano Lesson Book 2B will be ready for your piano students.
There are so many reasons to love this book. It allows for a seamless transition from 5-finger positions to one-octave scales. It is the most student-friendly method book on the market. It includes scale studies, technical exercises, note reading practice, improv, rhythm work, and classical-pop repertoire… all in one book!
We could go on and on, and next week we will!
But for now, the reason all of your students will love this book is the sound of its music.
In today’s post, you can be the first to listen to audio previews from WunderKeys Elementary Piano Lesson Book 2B.
Very quickly, you will discover why teachers love playing our tunes as much as their students. Not too many method books can say that!

This Is What A Modern Method Book Sounds Like
Piano students go crazy if you give them a song by Billie Eilish or Olivia Rodrigo. But there is a real problem with pop music.
It is not composed for piano students. Billie Eilish does not sit down and write a song with the needs of a level 2 student in mind. She doesn’t care if her songs are in an advanced key or include tricky rhythms.
Nor should she care. She’s not writing method book music.
But we are! And we know a little secret…
It’s not that kids only want to play songs they hear on the radio, but that they want to play songs that sound like what they hear on the radio.
And can you blame them? Most popular method books were composed over thirty years ago. A lot of things have changed since then; but method book music has not.
And that’s a problem that we are solving!
Trevor and I compose all of our music with two things in mind: 1. It must appeal to the tastes of today’s children, and 2. It must be pedagogically perfect.
We do not compromise on either of these two points. A rockin’ song that does not build on a student’s current skills or develop them in a pedagogically appropriate manner is detrimental to development. Similarly, a pedagogically perfect song that is brutally boring can be just as dangerous.
In WunderKeys Elementary Piano Lesson Book 2B we’ve found the perfect balance that will thrill your piano students.
As mentioned, WunderKeys 2B is coming out on September 8, 2021, but you can get WunderKeys 2A right now!
