Let’s show the world what your students can do! There’s nothing more magical than watching them light up the piano keys and transform practice into performance. Now, we want to help you share their incredible talent on a larger stage.
We’re creating a YouTube playlist filled with performances from The Silver Screen Playbook. Your students’ videos won’t just showcase their skills—they’ll inspire teachers, parents, and young pianists everywhere.
And here’s the best part: the first 20 videos submitted will receive a personalized digital performance certificate from me (Andrea Dow). This special keepsake is the perfect way to celebrate your students’ hard work and dedication.
In today’s post, we’ll give you all the details about how to submit your video and also share a look back at a previous student showcase (at the very bottom of the post) we created for The Amadeus Anthems.

Why Your Students Deserve the Spotlight
When you upload a video, you’re not just sharing a performance. You’re giving your student a chance to shine in a global celebration of piano music.
This is an opportunity to:
- Motivate other teachers to try fresh, fun music in their studios.
- Encourage new students to fall in love with piano.
- Highlight the amazing creativity happening in your studio.
And for your students, there’s nothing more exciting than knowing their performance is inspiring pianists around the world.
How to Get Involved:
- Pick a Piece: Choose a performance of any piece from The Silver Screen Playbook. Encourage your student to showcase their unique musical personality.
- Record the Moment: Record a clear video in a quiet, well-lit space. Capture both the student and the piano in the frame. Get parent/guardian permission before uploading any videos to your YouTube channel.
- Submit the Link: Upload the video to your YouTube channel and send us the link any time between today and February 7th. The link can be sent by email (Contact Us) or through our social media channels, like our hoppin’ FaceBook Group. We’ll take it from there!
Tips for Standout Videos:
- Ensure the performance is polished and recital-ready. Students should have mastered the piece and play with confidence.
- Encourage your students to play with expression and dynamics.
- Keep the setting simple and free from distractions.
- Treat the video as a mini-recital—celebrate the moment!
