Halloween may still feel a little way off, but if you’re a piano teacher you know that October 1st has a way of sneaking up fast. When it does, students are suddenly ready for pumpkins, costumes, and—of course—spooky-fun piano games.
That’s why we like to get Halloween resources into teachers’ hands before the candy hits the shelves. With your studio folders stocked and ready to go, you can dive straight into the season without scrambling for last-minute activities.
Today we’re kicking things off with our very first Halloween piano game of the year:
Bat Nap—a silly, seasonal activity that reinforces early note reading while keeping your students laughing and learning.

A Halloween Piano Game Students Will Love
In Bat Nap, two players race their markers down book paths while practicing the notes A–B–C–D–E in Middle C position. Along the way, they can block each other’s progress with coins, clear obstacles, and dash for the finish.
It’s quick to set up, easy to play, and just spooky enough to get your kids grinning from ear to ear. Better yet, the game keeps beginners practicing note recognition without realizing just how much they’re learning.

Next Week! A New V. U. Game Pack For Early Primer
If your students can’t get enough of Bat Nap, you’ll be happy to hear that this little game is just the beginning. Next week we’re releasing…
Andrea and Trevor Dow’s Very Useful Piano Board Games For Early Primer Students (V.U. Levels A–D)—a brand-new resource packed with games that make note reading, rhythm work, and keyboard awareness irresistibly fun!
So, while Bat Nap will keep your kids entertained this October, you’ll soon have an entire library of board games at your fingertips—ready to carry the excitement through the whole teaching year.
