Being in regular contact with your piano parents is a studio strategy that will prevent so many problems in your studio. When you regularly reach out to parents, you are building a vital partnership that sets your students up for success.
Most studio problems or “piano teacher headaches” arise from a lack of communication (or a miscommunication) that happens when the main go-between for teachers and parents is a 7-year-old child or a mumbling teenager. Little kids (and busy teens) just can’t be relied upon to give an accurate retelling of what occurred in a piano lesson, or how they are progressing week-to-week.
As a result, parents often receive a one-sided story or no information at all and are left feeling disconnected to your studio (something we definitely want to avoid).
To change this, teachers need to be in touch with parents. But after a busy day in the studio, the last thing you want to do is sit down and write twelve emails.
So in today’s post, we’re sharing a strategy that uses “warm n’ fuzzy” text message images that will help you stay in contact with parents. In just a few minutes at the end of your day, you can quickly blast off a ton of quick texts to connect with your families.
By reaching out regularly with these friendly messages, you and your studio parents will be on your way to a wonderful working relationship.

Stay In Touch And Grow Your Studio
Texting with parents is a quick and easy way to keep in touch. While sending a short follow-up text after a lesson will be appreciated, texting our warm n’ fuzzy text message graphics will be so much more meaningful… and will really make your studio stand out in a professional way.
We have been sharing big sets of these images regularly in our Facebook Groups and they have been getting rave reviews. Below we are sharing a sampling of the images to get you started. If you want to keep using these in your studio, join our groups as we regularly share brand new sets for free (WunderKeys and WunderKeys For Teens)
“The parents are LOVING the warm fuzzy text messages. Something about the cute characters and pretty colors – it’s better than a text without artwork. Thank you for making our job so much easier, Andrea Dow!”
How These Warm, Fuzzy Text Images Work

- Add the Warm N’ Fuzzy Text Message Image to your message as though you were sending a regular photograph (click on the camera icon on an iPhone).
- Write a quick little message that includes one *specific* thing the child did particularly well in his or her lesson.

The end result looks like this:

Our Warm N’ Fuzzy Text Message Image designs are created to really pop on a text message background. They get attention, they brand your studio in a professional way and they are SO appreciated by both parents and students.

Awesome! So glad 🙂
Love these! Can I make a suggestion? I can see myself using these on a day following their lesson. Therefore I would appreciate more choices without ‘today’ in the message. ‘This week’ would work more often here.
What a great idea! Thanks!
I tried using the ‘mark up’ tool in photo edit (iPhone) to replace the word ‘today’ with three exclamation points, which produced fair to good results. Will try using the same tool via computer and hope for better results. Alternately, will work it in as is on the day of lesson.
These are wonderful! Thanks!
I’m so glad you’ll use them 🙂
