Ask any piano teacher and they will tell you that their biggest source of stress is time management.
There are simply too many tasks to fit into a single lesson.
This means that teachers must either cut out lesson activities or find a way to check off two lesson activities at the same time.
Today’s St. Patrick’s Day Print And Play Note Reading Flashcards save time during piano lessons by combining note printing and note reading into a single, enjoyable activity.
Our Valentine’s Day version of this activity was such a hit that teachers asked for more of the same. And, of course, we always strive to make teachers’ dreams come true 🙂

Combine Today’s Activity With This Practice Tracker
Our St. Patrick’s Day Print And Play Note Reading Flashcards are available at the bottom of the point, but first…
If you want to supercharge today’s activity then you will want to combine it with the St. Patrick’s Day Practice Tracker that we shared last year.
While our practice trackers can be used to inspire home piano practice, they can also be used to inspire individual activities, like flashcard practice.
This year, challenge your kids to practice their note reading flashcards every day during the month of March. As they complete their daily flashcard sessions, have them record their progress on the St. Patrick’s Day Practice Tracker found here.

Speaking Of Piano Practice…
Do you struggle to get your students to practice the piano? Maybe method book music is getting them down.
More often than not, students who struggle to practice just need a little new music to get them back in the rhythm.
And, if new music is what you are looking for, be sure to check out everything we have to offer in Andrea and Trevor Dow’s Very Useful Library.
You can check out the entire library here, or click on a cover below to learn about some of our favorite books.

Today’s flashcards have note names on the front and blank note staves on the back. To begin, your students must print a note image on the back of each card that matches the corresponding note name on the front.
When finished, your students will have their very own set of note reading flashcards that can be taken home for continued practice.

These are lovely…thank you so much…curious why there are no A’s or B’s?
We use note sets for these activities – so this is for students playing in the C Five Finger Scale (therefore No A or B)
