Easter is just around the corner and with it comes… another disruption to piano practice routines.
Don’t get me wrong, I love Easter and all of the chocolate it brings. I do not love the fact that pianos will gather dust for another long weekend.
But maybe Easter and missed piano practice don’t have to go hand in hand.
Just maybe, with today’s Easter Piano Practice Pack, your students will hop on over to the piano bench and play some egg-cellent tunes.

Don’t Let Easter Interrupt Practice Routines
The key to piano practice is consistency. It sounds so simple. And yet, it is the biggest struggle faced by teachers.
The knee-jerk reaction is to blame students or their families. But, as a parent myself, I know how hard it is to stay consistent with routines.
Consider this March and April: just when students get back into routines following Spring Break, Easter pops out of nowhere and smashes those routines to pieces 🙂
Establishing and maintaining consistent routines is, therefore, all about finding tools to support piano practice.
In today’s Easter Piano Practice Pack we are sharing three helpful tools:
A Lesson Assignment Sheet:
Our Easter Lesson Assignment sheet can be printed out and put into your students’ piano binders. Its keep-it-simple format means that you can fill it out in the last few minutes of your students’ lessons.
A Performance Log:
With our Easter Performance Log your students can share their music with all of the people they love. To complete this activity, students must put on mini performances for friends and family and then record the names and dates of these performances.
Practice Punch Cards
Using the cards is simple. Print out the resource, cut out the cards, and hand them out to your students at the end of their next lessons. Then, instruct your students to punch out a corresponding hole on their cards (or cross out) after completing a daily practice session.
When your students return to lessons the following week, place any completed cards into a basket (make sure student names are written on the back) and then, at the end of the week, hold a raffle draw for a fun little prize or celebration.
