This activity will not only sharpen your students’ skills but also bring a festive atmosphere to your studio.
Combining music practice with Halloween fun, your students will be thrilled. Let’s see how you can make your lessons spooktacular this month.

Halloween Note Reading Doodles: Activity Description
The purpose of this activity is to use your students’ note reading skills to fill (ie. draw) a trick-or-treat bag with a variety of doodled candies. It’s a delightful way to make note practice more engaging.
Here’s how it works:
- Roll the Die: Your student rolls a die.
- Name the Note: Using the legend provided, they identify the note that matches the number rolled.
- Draw the Candy: They follow the drawing instructions corresponding to the named note. For example, if they roll a four and the note is C, they draw one lollipop on the trick-or-treat bag.
- Repeat: They repeat these steps seven more times, adding more candies to their bag with each roll.
- Color the Picture: After filling the bag with candies, they can color in the rest of the picture, unleashing their creativity.
This activity turns note reading into a fun Halloween-themed game, making practice more enjoyable. The combination of music and art appeals to creative learners and keeps them engaged.
