Holiday recitals are like the Christmas morning of piano lessons—students unwrap all their hard work and share it with family and friends.
And just like a well-timed gift, there’s nothing quite like hearing a thoughtful compliment to praise your students’ holiday performances.
Last spring, we introduced our Audience-to-Student Compliment Cards to help audience members share kind words for spring recitals. These cards turned piano performances into positivity powerhouses—giving students a collection of encouraging notes to flip through any time they needed a boost.
And now, just in time for the festive season, we are thrilled to announce a brand-new set of Christmas-themed Compliment Cards! With Christmas designs (and additional snowman themes), these cards are perfect for adding extra joy and a sprinkle of holiday magic to your upcoming recitals.

How To Use Our Holiday Recital Compliment Cards
Today’s printable pack includes five sets of Holiday Recital Compliment Cards. Each card contains a cute graphic and a “punny” phrase.
A few days before your recital, print and cut out the cards. Then, on three separate cards, write the name of each student. At the start of your holiday recital, distribute these cards to audience members. Encourage them to listen attentively to the performer named on their card and to jot down a heartfelt compliment.
After the recital, gather the cards and hand them to your piano students, sharing the positive feedback they’ve earned!
