It happens at least once in every recital. And when it does… the little one sitting on Dad’s lap stops fidgeting… the impatient sibling in the back row stops folding programs into paper airplanes… and the audience abandons polite applause in favor of giddy hoots, whoops, and thunderous applause.
Yup… it’s that moment when a teen piano student absolutely rocks your recital… when a teen piano student plays with so much passion and power that the audience is completely awestruck.
And when this happens at your next piano recital, chances are it will be in reaction to a student playing a piece from How To Rock Your Next Recital… a resource that contains the teen music that will “bring down the house” come recital season. How To Rock Your Next Recital is Teach Piano Today’s PianoBookClub Book of the Month for March.

But, of course, as with all of our books, it’s also way more than just rockin’ recital music! How To Rock Your Next Recital is packed with the “oh-so-cool” repertoire your intermediate students need to practice decoding (crunching!) left-hand accompaniments in seven major keys, giving them the skills required to learn and memorize music with ease…
How To Rock Your Next Recital was March 2017’s Book of the Month from PianoBookClub. To see this month’s book visit PianoBookClub.com.

Awesome Sonja! Thank you for your kind words 🙂
I love having these music previews! I downloaded the March book last week, but hadn’t done more than glance through it. But I will rush to print off some of those asap. I especially love Rushing Forth.
Hi Sandra – LOL Rush Forth and print 😉 Cheers! Happy to hear you can use the book right away!
I just introduced these to a teen student yesterday and she is so excited! Thank you!!!!
Fabulous Heidi! I hope she enjoys working through the book 🙂
Would these be sent as digital files or an actual book? Postage to my country makes prices exorbitant, this is why I ask.
Hi Elizabeth – all of our music through PianoBookClub is delivered digitally. The $8 membership fee includes an unlimited printing license for all of the books so you can print use them with as many students as you like within your private studio.
Two days ago I was just wishing for sound clips and you delivered–thank you! This is one of your best books yet!

Kylie – I can move your delivery date earlier if the suspense is killing you 😉 Just email me.
I’m already a member and I want to say how much fun my students are having with your songs! I want to thank you for including the audio files for the new new book. Great idea!
Can’t wait to get my book – today or tomorrow I think!
Looking forward to these…have several teens and recital time around the corner. Could I move my date up, too? I think I’m later in the month
Yes, absolutely! Just email me Ann so I have your email address 🙂
I love these posts about the new book coming out each month…. my only disappointment is waiting for my renewal date 🙂
No need to be disappointed! I can move it to whatever day you like – just email me 🙂
Is it too late to sign up for the book club and get the March songs?
Hi Linda – no not at all 🙂 If you sign up today you’ll receive this book in your inbox immediately!
Thanks, Andrea! Crazy day here but I just jumped on the computer and signed up! Can’t wait for the March songs to arrive!!!
Hi Linda! Welcome to PianoBookClub! I’ve just emailed you as well – but be sure to check your inbox. Your book would have delivered immediately upon you signing up. We look forward to sending you lots of great music in months to come 🙂
Nice!
Thanks Darlene! 🙂
Andrea,
I am already a member of the Piano Book Club and would love to purchase this book. Am I able to do that?
Anita lardy
Hi Anita – yes you are a member! Your book delivery date is the 14th of the month which is why you haven’t received this one yet. If you want me to move your delivery date earlier just email me.
Andrea,
I’m not sure if I’m a member or not. Been undergoing treatment for breast cancer, and can’t find any receipt for it in my email. But I did a major purge of email about 3 months ago, so it’s possible I accidentally deleted it. Could you please advise if I am not a member? I think my teenage students would really enjoy this.
Is it in eBook format or hardcopy?
Thanks again!
Merri Williams
Hi Merri – I’ve just emailed you to sort this out for you 🙂 The book is an eBook that comes with a license to print unlimited copies of it for use in your personal studio.
Thank you, thank you! I love your posts and the books that arrive monthly, you seem to have exactly what I need! I can hardly wait for this one!
I totally can’t wait for this one! I have so many teens now. SO EXCITED!
These pieces sound really great, and perfect for keeping teens engaged. Is there a way we can buy just a single book without being in the book club? I love the games club, but I feel like I wouldn’t use a lot of the stuff in the book club. I’m really happy with the tutor books I use, and most of my older students have school and external music exams to do which gives us a lot of repertoire to get through already. It would be great if some of your most popular books could be individual downloads.
Hi! I love your blog and music-thank you for all your great ideas! Is there any way of still accessing these pieces?I have some teens who would love them, but I have only just signed up for the book club now and it’s April, so fear I may have missed them!
Hi Leonie – as a continuing member of PianoBookClub you will have access to re-released books – check the bottom of the email that delivers your new book starting in your 2nd month of membership for the password. This gives you access to the member’s page on the PianoBookClub.com site where you can choose to purchase the re-released selection for the same $8 with unlimited printing 🙂
Can I purchase the four pieces from How To Rock You Next Recital? I am a member of the Book Club. But I wasn’t 4 months ago when these were released.
Hi Rebeccca – yes, all continuing members will have the chance to purchase a re-released book each month (and that book actually has 7 pieces!) 🙂 At the bottom of each email that delivers your new book (starting in month 2) you’ll receive a password. This gives you access to the member’s page of http://www.pianobookclub.com where you can choose to purchase the re-release for the same $8. How To Rock Your Next Recital will be a future re-release for sure!
I have just discovered this (so many gems to discover from you!). Is waiting for a book-club re-release the only way to buy this?
Hi Rachelle! You’ll now find pieces from this book in our Performance Companion books you can see here (scroll down one shelf) https://wunderkeys.com/piano-books-music/#intermediate
