My daughter received a postcard in the mail the other day. Having grown up in the “age of technology”… the simple fact that a beautifully illustrated piece of paper had arrived in in our mailbox was beyond thrilling.
Her postcard was immediately and proudly displayed on her bedroom bulletin board. She was all smiles for hours.
As Trevor and I are in the business of creating smiles 🙂 we just couldn’t let this postcard moment escape our musical minds. So… we spent our Saturday morning creating Piano Student Accomplishment Post Cards, and we’re sharing our set with you today!
Piano Student Rewards And What Matters Most
We all want our piano students to find an “internal motivation” that arises naturally from an ability to create beautiful music. But to get to that point can require years of hard work and dedication, and so occasionally they need a little help from some external motivators.
Mixing well-timed moments of recognition with motivating repertoire and inspiring lessons is the recipe for long-term piano student happiness.
Sometimes all your students need are genuine words of praise, sometimes they need a big celebration, and sometimes… they need a surprise in a mail box. What matters most is finding ways to recognize your students and make them feel extra special.
Our Piano Student Accomplishment Postcards (found here) are designed to be an easy way to celebrate your piano students’ efforts. When they’ve reached a milestone, impressed you in some way, demonstrated fabulous work ethic or were simply downright lovely during lesson time… fill out the back of a postcard with a hand-written personalized message and pop it in your mail box! We guarantee your piano students will be thrilled 🙂
Need another motivational boost for your piano students? Check out the monthly repertoire we deliver through PianoBookClub! An excited parent recently wrote us to say that “[Her daughter] simply cannot walk past the piano without sitting down to play your music!”
