Once a month, Andrea and I take a quick break from our regular blog posts to share the latest games from our monthly resource PianoGameClub. If you’re looking to pump up the fun in your lessons, then check out our game previews at the end of this post.
Every summer I revamp my piano teaching materials. I chuck (in an eco-friendly manner!) resources that rarely get used and replace them with exciting materials that will amaze my students when they return to lessons in the fall. This process of “declutter and replace” ensures my piano teaching activities are pedagogically up-to-date, project a professional image, and make my piano students light up with excitement.
In today’s post, we’re previewing four incredible piano teaching games that will get you off to the races if you’re revamping your studio resources too. Letting go of old materials and replacing them with ones that excite you has never been so easy!

If, like me, you enjoy replenishing your teaching materials, then you’ll be thrilled with June’s games from PianoGameClub.
With a wonderfully wacky set that includes a shark with a growling gut, a heroic battle with a komodo dragon, a lion preparing for liftoff, and a crummy batch of cookies, you’ll be itching to teach your kids about Treble C Position note reading, enharmonic notes, two-note slurs, and note values.
