Now Let’s Reinforce Intervals With Game-Based Learning!
With Crunching Carrots, you can take your young piano students on a game-based adventure as they use their aural awareness of intervals to sneak carrots from the garden.
With this enjoyable resource your students will improve their listening skills as they learn to identify melodic intervals of a 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th.
You game file (which you can download by clicking the image below) includes instructions, a game board and 18 playing cards. Pair it with this month’s book from PianoBookClub and watch your students jump with joy!
Éadaoin White says
In the crunching carrots game, how do you know if the child is answering correctly? Should we ask them for their answer after each interval and allow them to move on the board if they are correct?
Andrea says
Yes, all of our games are designed to be “teaching moments” – so sit close enough that you can see/discuss/explain when needed 🙂
