When I was in high school my course binders were covered in stickers, doodles, and logos. I was proud of my binders. They looked cool. And somehow jazzing up my binders made the material inside more palpable.
As an adult looking back, the “cool” binder covers seem trivial now. But the fact remains that teens DO judge a book (or binder) by its cover. They want everything they come into contact with to have style. And it extends beyond binder covers… just take a look at their phone covers and laptop cases!
So we’ve decided to share music binder dividers that will make your teens lesson materials POP! If you are desperate to have your teens pay attention to their music at home, then our downloadable (and free!) binder dividers below are a great place to start.
7 Pop Art Inspired Teen Piano Binder Dividers
Today’s binder dividers are inspired by the artwork from our teen music book, The Beethoven Sessions. The Beethoven Sessions, available here on Amazon, is a pop-infused tribute to the music of Beethoven. Whether you use the repertoire to ignite a passion for piano or as a jumping-off point for exploring the classics, this book of repertoire will inspire the next generation of piano students.
The artwork in our teen music series has been a huge hit, so we know there are going to be excited students when they see their jazzed up lesson binders!
How To Use Our Teen-Inspired Lesson Dividers
In the Teen Binder Divider package (download it here or click on the image below) you will find seven dividers for lesson assignment sheets, current repertoire, “anytime” repertoire (favorite repertoire from the past to keep on review), technical work, practice sheets, theory work and music history. As you assemble your piano student binders, laminate these sheets and then use a 3-hole punch to turn them into an eye-catching binder divider! As your students add various materials to their piano binder, they can then slot each one into the appropriate section. Cue sigh of organization satisfaction 😉
Over the next few months we will continue to add to our collection of teen-specific activity sheets that can help you fill these binder sections. You can find some of our teen printables right now by clicking on the links below:
