With the changes that are happening in our world, people are reaching into their toolbox of tricks to keep themselves entertained.
People who never walk are suddenly strolling by my music room window at the same time every day. People who never play board games are digging through their attics in search of Monopoly, Yahtzee, and Clue.
And people who have never had the time to do puzzles are finding peace in the pieces!
With my Facebook newsfeed filled with pictures of friends doing puzzles, I figured it was time to create some Easter piano printables and jump on the jigsaw bandwagon.
In today’s post, we are sharing three jigsaw puzzle note-reading piano printables that can be emailed to your primer and level 1 piano students and completed as part of their home practice.
Reinforce Note Reading With Jigsaw Piano Puzzles
Each puzzle set below contains 10 Easter Bunny images. Each Easter Bunny image is created from three puzzle pieces. Each puzzle piece contains either a note image, a clef image, or a note name.
To play with the jigsaw puzzles, have your child or student choose a set, cut out the 10 Easter Bunny puzzles, mix up the ears and faces, and then reassemble the puzzles according to the notes, clef symbols and letter names.

Do your piano students struggle with note reading?
Struggles with note reading and other fairly simple theory concepts are often the reasons piano students quit.
Imagine a lifetime of music lost because a student can’t do something as simple as reading notes on the staff.
To save these students, we created Andrea and Trevor Dow’s Timed Note Reading Tests For Piano. With simple, daily homework tasks that take very little time to complete, your students will become note reading stars.

Thank you for these cute rabbit puzzles for our students. I know that some of my piano moms will enjoy using these with their kids. I printed a set using a pastel color for each level. After they are laminated, I’ll be set for we get back to the studio or for next spring. I appreciate that you are helping us be creative in lesson planning during this unusual season. Take care. Be safe.
