January is a long month! Don’t believe the calendar; it has at least 39 days 🙂
In addition, kids always seem to return to lessons exhausted. The Christmas holidays do not have a rejuvenating effect.
So, it’s going to take some special tools to keep piano students motivated and practicing.
In today’s post, we are sharing a snowman note reading practice tracker.
Combine it with our Win Or Luge note reading game and our snowman supplementary songs to create a cute mini-unit.
More Note Reading Games To Follow Christmas Break
Today’s Snowman Note Reading Practice Tracker is available at the bottom of the post but first…
If you teach primer piano students (or anyone still playing in C position) then you know an entire lesson can’t be spent sitting at a piano bench.
Kids need to switch it up at least once during a 30-minute lesson… and usually more!
But taking a break from the bench can be time-consuming as you fumble with papers in search of the note reading activity that you want to use.
Image then, if your students had a book of themed note reading activities in their bags. How useful would it be if starting a new note reading activity was as simple as turning a page in their activity books?
First released in September for the start of the school year, The Back To School Book Of Note Reading Boosters also works well to celebrate the return to lessons in January.
In The Back To School Book Of Note Reading Boosters you will find easy format board games, color-it mystery pictures, note printing pattern pages, note reading mazes, note reading word searches, dice play timed tests, dot to dot note paths, and more!
