On January 1st of this year, I made daily yoga my New Year’s resolution. Now, after 92 straight days of stretching, I can touch my toes 🙂
All joking aside, it has made a significant difference. And it has reminded me of just how important it is for little students to routinely work out their fingers.
Many struggles that primer piano children face are directly related to under-exercised hands.
To remedy this problem, in today’s post we are sharing, what might be, the most enjoyable way to whip piano fingers into shape.

Before You Download Today’s Finger Coordination Game
Today’s finger coordination game works well as a standalone activity, but works wonders when paired with the newest book in Andrea And Trevor Dow’s Very Useful Piano Library!
Hildegard Needs A Happy Tune, V. U. Level E is a laugh-out-loud resource that follows the hilarious adventures of a bored little hamster and her quest to order up some excitement!
Composed for students beginning mid-primer piano repertoire, Hildegard Needs A Happy Tune is packed with piano pieces and activities that reinforce playing in middle C position.
Inside this V.U. Level E book you will discover 7 piano solos, a teacher-student duet, warm-up exercises, note reading games, sight-reading and rhythm activities, a practice tracker, and a certificate.

Download Today’s Finger Coordination Board Game
Today’s piano board game will exercise your primer students’ fingers while also reinforcing their understanding of finger numbers. The very simple instructions for the game are found on the page that follows the game boards in the printable pack.
