Despite the balmy 7 degrees here on Vancouver Island, the holidays are officially upon us! Our tree is up, some presents are wrapped (my project for tonight!), and I have successfully avoided yet another year of Christmas baking thanks to a wonderful student whose mother delivers a yearly box full of treats that I then pass off as my own handy work.
Our daughters, Lexi and Halle (that’s them in the picture on the right), have been on their best “Santa” behaviour for … well … hours now and Lexi has stood vibrating with excitement as she watched her email video from magicsanta.ca (if you have children you’ve got to try it!).
‘Tis the season to cuddle up with some hot cocoa (or…if you’ve just now finished your teaching for the break, a large glass of wine or some Advil) and enjoy the atmosphere of the holidays … and your ability to ensure “Jingle Bells” is not anywhere on your holiday playlist. Been there done that since Halloween, right!?
Both Trevor and I wish all of you a wonderful holiday season. We’ll be back with our regular posts after Boxing Day. Happy Holidays and best wishes to you and your families!
