I am my own worst enemy. My piano students come to my studio door and the first thing they say to me is “Are we doing something cool today?”. They’ve learned to expect new and exciting activities, materials, games every… single… week 🙂
So while the pressure is always on, I’m okay with it… Why?
Because of what they’re not saying.
They’re not saying…. “Awwww… I don’t want to go to piano today!” or “I was too busy to practice this week.” or “Piano is boring.”
And so if it means that I have to continue to pull out all the stops to keep my lessons relevant and fresh and exciting… then so be it! Fortunately for our Teach Piano Today readers, this also means that we have no shortage of relevant and fresh and exciting materials and resources to continue to share with you!
An Easter Bunny Themed Composing Activity
With Easter just around the corner you can bet my kiddos are expecting some holiday-themed fun. And so we’ve created a composing activity that you can simply print and use with the next student who walks through your studio doors.
Now when students come in asking “Are we doing something cool today?” You can answer them with a resounding YES!

Don’t Say We Didn’t Warn You….
There is a good chance that after using today’s Easter Composing Activity your piano students are going to come to their lessons next week and the week after that… and the week after that… asking to have more composing fun. And when this happens you’ll be thrilled that we have created an entire composing resource called The Curious Case of Muttzart and Ratmaninoff. You can check it out here.
