I can’t believe that summer is coming to a close. Every August, Trevor and I tell ourselves that next summer we will work way less.
And, without fail, every summer we run ourselves ragged to the point that we barely even get to see the sun.
But, we’re not looking to organize a pity party, because we LOVE what we do!
This summer, every waking hour has been entirely consumed with WunderKeys Elementary Piano Lesson Book 2A, which will be ready to roll on Tuesday, August 25th.
And I’d be lying if I didn’t say that after Tuesday, Trevor and I might take a few hours to put our feet up.
But it is not Tuesday yet.
So, in preparation for WunderKeys Elementary Piano Lesson Book 2A, we wanted to share 3 note reading games that can be used with all of your level 2 kiddos.
Also, if you’re itching to see 2A before Tuesday, we have a little “look inside” in today’s post too.
Look Inside WunderKeys Elementary Piano Lesson Book 2A – Coming August 25th
As students progress through the WunderKeys curriculum, they are also growing up. So it is important that our WunderKeys method books grow with them.
WunderKeys Elementary Piano Lesson Book 2A is an important bridge for kids who have outgrown “little kid” music but are not ready for our intermediate method books.
It is jam-packed with pop-infused repertoire, technical exercises, and theory. But that’s not all!
Because kids are never too old to have fun, we have ramped up the innovation and developed ways to have level-appropriate musical fun through lap tap clap rhythm work, improvisation, and pick-a-path sight reading.
We could go on and on, but it’s probably best to just let you look inside! Click on the image below to preview sample pages from WunderKeys Elementary Piano Lesson Book 2A.
If you haven’t done so already, be sure to listen to audio samples here in last Wednesday’s post.

This 2A book looks so interesting, with some theory and technical skills. It looks like a great fit for my students. The songs sound like they’ll be a hit! I can’t wait to order it. Thanks, Andrea and Trevor.
Hi Rudene! We’re so glad that you’re excited about it. To have this book in a studio like yours is a dream for us 🙂 Thanks for your enthusiasm!
I think this might be just right for my tween daughter. She dropped her [other brand] “boring” method book last year, and we’ve just been using some Piano Book Club books and other songs for learning/repertoire, but I know she needs more planned learning until she reaches the intermediate Wunderkeys where her older siblings are.
My preschooler just started your preschool book 1 this month. “I want to play Climb Aboard” he said the next day. I love your books and SO many free resources. It makes learning to teach piano fun and easy!
I’m so thrilled to hear this Beth! Yes, I’m sure she won’t find this new book boring 🙂 It’s always nice to have a method to provide some structure and a sense of progression. Hope she enjoys it! Thanks for your kind words.
