When it comes to creating piano music and activities, 2022 was one of our most prolific years of all time!
With well over 100 printables shared with the Teach Piano Today and WunderKeys community, there are bound to be many that you have missed.
From our Quick Fix Songs we shared in the summer to our collection of level 2 teen piano solos, to several new game formats, there is a lot to look back on.
So, now that you have a little time to rest, put your feet up, grab your phone or laptop and peruse some of 2022’s popular piano printables that will make 2023 so much easier.
2022’s Popular Piano Printables That Arrived In Bunches
Over the past year, we focused on creating printable formats and then applying those formats to a variety of different skill sets. So, rather than reinventing the wheel every time, we developed effective games and solos that became a part of many printables.
Let’s take a look at 2022’s popular piano printables and songs:
1. Quick Fix Songs
During the summer, Andrea and I started sharing technique-focused piano songs for primer and level 1 students.
Each “Quick Fix tune” focused on a specific technical skill that troubles young pianists. Despite being named Quick Fix Summer Songs, this set of solos that focus on half note rhythms, finger strength, quarter rests, and mid-piece hand movements should be used all year long.
Check out all six Quick Fix Songs below:
Quick Fix Song 2: Quarter Rest Rock
Quick Fix Song 3: Mid-Piece Hand Movements
Quick Fix Song 4: The Hobbled Half Note Rhythm
Quick Fix Song 5: Lazy Legato On The Piano
Quick Fix Song 6: Rocking Held Notes
2. Tween Piano Solos For Level 2 Students
Creating printables for primer students is a piece of cake. Sharing music for intermediate students isn’t much harder. But it’s always a little tricky trying to thread the needle with level 2 students. These students are too old to be entertained by cute lyrics and goofy songs but too young to play the challenging yet cool repertoire found in our books for older students.
So, this year we set out to share more music that meets the needs of the “in betweens”.

3. A New Note Reading Piano Printable Format
Andrea and I are always trying to create new game formats. One creation this year turned out to be particularly popular and we used it to reinforce note reading for primer students through to older beginners.

4. Popular Piano Lesson Assignment Sheets
When it comes to running a business, it is the little things that count. Normally, people wouldn’t consider lesson assignment sheets to be an area of piano teaching that needs much attention.
But we believe that focusing on MANY little things can make a big difference. For this reason, in 2022 we shared many fun lesson assignments that students will actually want to pay attention to.
