With the holiday season mere weeks away, we can say with certainty that your students’ home piano practice is about to take a bit of a hit.
Between attending school recitals, music recitals, dance recitals, family dinners, and holiday parties, after-school hours during the holiday season are jam-packed. The likelihood of your students finding time to fit in a little practice session each and every day is minimal.
Many evenings may be spent in festive locations that do not even have pianos on which your students may be able to practice.
But that doesn’t mean they can forget about their musical pursuits! Just because they can’t make it to a piano doesn’t mean they can’t practice.
Practice can happen in many different ways; like with our printable, pencil and paper homework pages. In fact, if you use the holiday-themed homework pages that we’re sharing in today’s post, your students may avoid the loss of skill that happens when holidays interfere with piano practice.

As your students make their way through Level 1 method books do they start to get confused when the same note name starts popping up in numerous places on the grand staff? Do their heads start to hurt when they discover a third C they have to memorize? Do they throw their hands up in the air when you tell them they have to learn a third G too?
