When note reading, beginning piano students think in sets.
This is why students who have no problem reading C and D in the treble C 5-finger scale, seem to suddenly forget these notes when they move to the G 5-finger scale.
For this reason, note-reading games for beginning students are most useful when they are organized into 5-finger scale sets.
The note-reading game we are sharing today (found at the bottom of this message) reinforces the G 5-finger scale.
While it is designed to coordinate with our recently released Older Beginner Piano Book Three, it will be enjoyed by any student who needs reading reinforcement in the G 5-finger scale.
Speaking of our new release…
The classical pop journey for older beginners continues in Book Three as they explore the G major 5-finger scale, the G minor 5-finger scale, the D major 5-finger scale, and the D minor 5-finger scale.
To make sure your students get the note-reading reinforcement they need as they begin Book Three, be sure to print today’s note-reading game.
